My original focus for this blog was an attempt to keep citizens up to date on issues on the Greensboro City Council and other governmental bodies on which I formerly served, to provide more details so "the rest of the story" could be known. As my roles continue to change, so too will the content of this blog. Who knows what you find here next!

My memory isn't THAT good -- no, I don't remember those comments. But since I grew up there, have fond memories of my days there, and still own my old homeplace where one of my sons and his family now live, my comments certainly would not have been bad at all.
I would assume any comment I made would have been along the line of "The city's first priority must be to provide an adequate water supply and sewer capacity to its own citizens, and we must reserve that capacity for those Greensboro citizens." If it was anything other than that, please refresh my memory.
Sandy, I am sorry that you lost. I feel that you were a much better candidate than Ms. Wade. I could not vote for you as I am not in your district. I encourage you to run at-large at the next opportunity. You have been a positive influence on the Council and I look forward to casting my vote for you in the future. Please do not give up on public service.
I have been blessed to serve in numerous roles throughout my life: Town Administrator/ ClerkFinance Officer for the Town of Pleasant Garden; Wife, Mother, and Grandmother -- I have been married to my husband Bob for 40 years; we have three sons and nine grandchildren; Volunteer -- A past president of North Carolina PTA, I currently serve as a consultant to the NC PTA Board of Directors and on a committee of the NC State Board of Education that deals with the oversight of the state's charter schools; Elected Official -- I represented District 5 on the Greensboro City Council for 16 years where I concentrated on transportation, the Coliseum, and air quality issues. In my (scarce) spare time, I garden, have a greenhouse as a hobby, and play a mean game of bridge.
